About
The York/WellSpan Advanced Prostate Care Center is a multi-modality diagnostic and therapeutic center located in South-Central Pennsylvania, 40 minutes from Baltimore and less than two hours from Philadelphia. Our team of Interventional Radiologists and Urologists have diagnosed and treated prostate cancer utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. Our Interventional Radiologists are fellowship-trained and have a long track history of superior patient care.
York Hospital is a 600-bed tertiary care center with a new state-of-the-art Philips MRI suite utilizing an advanced Ingenia ELITION 3 Tesla system with a patient-friendly virtual environment and the largest available bore opening. We perform multi-parametric prostate MRI, MRI/ultrasound fusion biopsy, and TULSA Procedure for prostate ablation. TULSA Procedure is performed under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis with no incisions and no hospital admission. The ablation takes approximately 2 hours. Patients generally go home at the end of the procedure may return back to normal function in 3 to 4 days.
