The WellSpan York Advanced Prostate Care Center is a multi-modality diagnostic and therapeutic center located in South-Central Pennsylvania, 40 minutes from Baltimore and less than two hours from Philadelphia. Our team of Interventional Radiologists and Urologists have diagnosed and treated prostate cancer utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. Our Interventional Radiologists are fellowship-trained and have a long track history of superior patient care.
WellSpan York Advanced Prostate Care Center is a 600-bed tertiary care center with a new state-of-the-art Philips MRI suite utilizing an advanced Ingenia ELITION 3 Tesla system with a patient-friendly virtual environment and the largest available bore opening. We perform multi-parametric prostate MRI, MRI/ultrasound fusion biopsy, and TULSA Procedure for prostate ablation. The TULSA Procedure is performed under general anesthesia with no incisions. The ablation takes approximately 2 hours. Patients generally go home at the end of the procedure, though a chance of an overnight stay at the hospital for observation is a possibility. After doctor review, patients may return to normal function in as little as 3 to 4 days.
